As a professional recruiting services firm, one of our goals is to connect with, and connect, as many talented people as possible within our niche industries. Nowadays that requires intentional effort and savvy within the Social Media and e-marketing world. While I’m not a dinosaur, I also did not come up in a time where social media existed or played a role in people’s personal lives, much less business. However, as a career headhunter, I have always been passionate about connecting with people and assessing talent beyond just the resume.
To that effort, I am excited to launch our ‘Aegis Recruiter Blog’ as a way to share knowledge, but also to give folks a look behind the curtain on what recruiting life can be like, as well sharing funny stories of our experiences.
I’ve never been a fan of those recruiting blogs that just regurgitate articles from another source or simply list things that can generically help you ‘do something better’ by following 4 easy steps?! They serve a valuable purpose to some, but it’s just not something I found interesting enough to read as a blog. There are plenty of those blogs out there if that’s more of your cup of tea.
Now, I can’t promise that this will be ‘must-read’ material or over-the-top entertaining or funny. But it will be more than just a cut and paste of another ‘industry article’ and we’ll have plenty of ‘are you kidding’ me moments we’ve experienced over the years that we are dying to share (names will be kept confidential…LOL).
